Music or the Misery?

Music has a different impact on everyone, that's the whole point. Recently I seem to find a lot of songs make me cry, even if they're not suppose to. The song "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley causes me to break down in tears right away, but it's a sad love song. It's suppose to make you cry. On the other hand, "Mary's Song (Oh my my my) by Taylor Swift is a happy love song, but yet it is still a tear-jerker for me. I'm such a sap, I know. A romantic I shall always be. Why the happier songs make me weep I will never know, but perhaps I just relate to the people in the songs a lot, and I feel a conection. Yeah, that's a nice way to look at it, I think I'll stick with that one.

Love will keep you up all night, that is my final verdict.

Love. It is a word that has been tossed around too many times to count. You love a very special person, you love your friends, and you love your favorite food...mmm, latté. Love may come and go, or it may stay forever, only time and serious commitment will decide. Love doesn't come easy thought, there are many things to overcome. But in the end, all the potential complications are worth it. And even if they weren't, you gain life experience so it's not all bad.

The lyrics to Anyone Else But You...Used in the movie Juno!

You're a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you're back is the latest trend
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body's swinging from side to side
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can't, you forgive me?
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

I will find my nitch in your car
With my mp3 DVD rumple-packed guitar
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu du

Up up down down left right left right B A start
Just because we use cheats doesn't mean we're not smart
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

You are always trying to keep it real
I'm in love with how you feel
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

We both have shiny happy fits of rage
You want more fans, I want more stage
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Don Quixote was a steel driving man
My name is Adam I'm your biggest fan
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Squinched up your face and did a dance
You shook a little turd out of the bottom of your pants
I don't see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu
Du du du du du du dudu du
But you

Though the song may be a little strange, and the singing may not be the best in the world, I think that it gives it character, and the fact that it's not perfect makes it all the better. Yay, though the girl who sings kinda scares me...she looks like she's stoned, and I sort of pity her child. I wouldn't want her for a mother...

Finally Over!!!

Yes, exam week is over! Not that I had exams or anything, but I don't like being stuck in the same classroom for 3 plus hours, but perhaps that's just me. Anyways, an interesting topic for today, or at least I find it quite interesting....i-Doser!

I'm sure by now almost everyone has heard of i-Doser, the audio drug that can get you high...or horny, depending on which one's you listen to. I have a few on my i-Pod, but I haven't really taken the time to listen to them. The company claims they are perfectly safe to use and that they won't cause any problems, but considering they are tapping into your brain waves or something like that, you never know. There are many videos on youtube that show different people's reactions to the drugs, but I'm sure most if not all of them are fake. What do you think of i-Doser? Leave your oppinion.

School and such

Bonjour tout le monde!
Exams are next week...eww. I'm glad I don't have them until next year, but I have MAJOR TESTS! Scary, I know. I actually have one tomorrow in Science Humaines (Social Studdies) and I'm not looking forward to it. Oh well, what can you do?

The Resemblance of Angels

She resembles an angel of both lightness and dark.
Two different personalities, her own personal demons.
Some see her as a carefree spirit, looking out for those who are helpless against our society.
Few see her in her dark state, the times when asking, “Are you okay?” makes everything worse.
Even fewer see both sides, those two angels intertwined together.

Her exterior displays a halo of curls, and progressing perfect smile.
The attire she wears is her own expression, carefully placed, each with a purpose.
Can you see a silver outline, a shadow or a veil?
They sometimes catch in the light, those fragile wings of hers.
So pure, like expensive lace, soft and white.
Be careful not to touch, you just may tear them.

Look into her eyes, the dark brown mirrors of her past.
Do you see anything, can you break the lock on those watery vaults?
To watch her thoughts and secrets roll by like an old black and white film, do you dare to ponder and transcribe them for the world to see?
Can you swim through poison bloodlines to the center of her broken heart?
Cracked porcelain enduring years of hurt and happy combinations, some never fully understood.
Those wings of her’s turn black, invisible against the starless night sky.
She has fallen from grace, weighed down on tainted wings.

Her two angels collide, entangled in fiery passion, melting and fusing together.
They are what she is, her composure and her will to live.
She is loved, by many or few the answer is unknown, but she loves back regardless.
For some it may be temporary, a short lived friendship or romance.
For a select few it is unconditional puppy love, the feeling of compassion that will never subside.

She will never be tamed, merely momentarily seduced by the need for control, someone to take charge.
Her free spirit is only captured when it wants to be, the dove is never your’s to keep under lock and key.
When the time is right, this angel will spread her majestic wings and fly, to forever be with the one who loves her for who she is, the only one who never tried to change her.

January 2008

I wrote this poem for a school assignment and I really quite fond of it. It is all about me, and how I resemble something. As you can see, I resemble a light and dark angel.

Hello Everybody!

Hey people,
This is my first blog-type thing ever, so I'm sorry if it isn't the best starting out. So, a little bit about myself... I am a vegetarian, animal activist, and hopefully an all-around good person. I love music, modern and abstract art, and of course my friends. I write poetry and sometimes songs, but no songs of late. Anyways, onto more exciting things!

Valentine's Day is coming up soon, and that means romance. For those of you who have a special someone, don't forget to do something special to show how much you care. If you are looking to impress someone, this is the best time of the year to do so. Along with the exchanging of love notes, Valentine's formals and semi-formals are another thing to look forward to. Personally I shall be going to my high school's V-Day semi-formal, hopefully with my sweetheart in tow. One can only hope his parents will feel the love and let him miss a few days of school.I'm so worth it, aren't I?

Anyways, ciao!
